This is a pleasant and not too taxing low altitude walk over the hills from Dechenchholing/Thimphu to Punakha, and so is particularly suitable for the winter season.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Paro
Day 02: Paro Full Day Sightseeing
Day 03: Drive from Paro to Thimphu, afternoon Thimphu Sightseeing
Day 04: Full Day Thimphu Sightseeing
Day 05: Start Trek from Dechenchholing (Thimphu)– Dopshing Pang 17km, 5-6 hours
Day 06: Trek Dopshing Pang – Chorten Ningpo 18km, 6-7 hours
Day 07: Trek Chorten Ningpo – Kabesa/Punakha 5km, 1 hour, overnight at hotel
Day 08: Continue Trek Punakha – Limukha15km, 5-6 hours
Day 09: End Trek, Limukha–Chungsakha15km, 5-6 hours, drive to Punakha/Wangdiphorang
Day 10: Morning Punakha/Wangdiphodrang Sightseeing, afternoon drive to Paro
Day 11: Fly to onward destination
